Resurrector is a small extension (5k disk, 20k RAM) that watches the status of an application. By default this application is Eric Prestion's MacPPP Timer. If the application is quit, the extension automatically re-launches it within a minute. This application should be extremely safe and friendly, but please send me reports of a any problems you may have.
Possible Problem:
If your shutdown process is especially long the target application may re-launch and stop the shutdown. If this happens, just quit the program and shut down again.

Modifications:
If you have ResEdit, you can change this program's target. Open the extension (you'll have to make a copy of it if it was loaded at start-up) and open the 'SIGR' resource ID 128 inside it. Change the text of this resource (right-hand column) to the creator signature of the application you wish to target (which can be determined using the "Get File/Folder Info…" command of ResEdit's File menu.)
